Ellie Kildunne signs for Bristol Bears

In the biggest club move of the week, England and World Player of the Year Ellie Kildunne has joined Bristol Bears ahead of the 2026/27 Premiership Women's Rugby season, leaving Harlequins after a five-year spell at the club. Bears head coach Scott Lawson called it "a huge statement of intent," with Kildunne — fresh off a World Cup win and runner-up at the 2025 BBC Sports Personality of the Year — set to lead Bristol's push back into the play-offs next season

Zoe Harrison named England Women's Player of the Season.

Saracens and Red Roses fly-half Zoe Harrison was named England Women's Player of the Season at The Rugby Awards 2026, recognising another outstanding campaign for club and country. Harrison finished the season as PWR's highest points scorer with 146 points, and her kicking was a defining feature of England's Grand Slam-winning Six Nations campaign.

PWR Final set: Saracens vs Trailfinders

One of the biggest surprises of the season.

Trailfinders Women stunned three-time champions Gloucester-Hartpury 29-26 in the semi-finals, ending Gloucester's three-year grip on the title and reaching their first-ever PWR final. They'll face Saracens — who edged a 12-try thriller against Exeter Chiefs 40-38 — at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday 28 June, kick-off 3pm.
